What is Stage 1?

Stage 1 is the opening race, from a canyon to a long straight. The community page names the Mineshaft, a hill path, and a cave as shortcuts, without entrances or time saved. Reported hazards include boulders, an eagle, TNT and landmines, a collapsible bridge, and falling trees. A cow carcass on the downhill is a reported balance boost. There is no player combat, but TNT and dynamite can knock riders off.
